Mount Desert Campground Rates & Policies

Our rates are based on two adults and up to two accompanying children under 21 years old.   Weather permitting, the campground is open Memorial Day weekend until Columbus Day.  

We do not allow dogs July and August.  Dogs are allowed when the season is quieter during the months of May, June, September and October.

  All rates subject to 9% Maine lodging tax

 No Septic Dump Station

Campground Policies

 

Reservations:

During January 2018, campsites may be reserved any time during the season for a week or more.

Starting in February 2018, campsites may be reserved any time during the season for three nights or more.

Be aware that if you change the dates of your confirmed reservation, your site # is no longer guaranteed.

Cancellation Policy:

If you CANCEL 2 weeks or more before your scheduled arrival, you will be refunded HALF of your deposit.

If you CANCEL less than 2 weeks before your confirmed arrival date, you will forfeit your deposit.

Rules:

The complete list of rules will be handed to you at check in.

  • Quiet Hours are strictly enforced 10:00pm until 7:00am.
  • NO DOGS allowed July & August.  Please see above or our FAQ page for specifics.

  • No RVs/Trailers longer than 20 feet

  • No doubling up. Two couples or two families require two sites

  • Only one vehicle per site.  Bringing a second vehicle?  The charge is $5 per night and it must be left at the office parking lot.

  • A family tent plus one small tent for children and/or a screen house is permitted

  • Transferring your campsite reservation to another party is prohibited.

Deposit Requirements:

50% of camping fee due at booking

  • The balance of your camping fee is payable upon your arrival.

  • Your deposit will be forfeited if you do not register for the number of nights that you requested and for which we confirmed.
