Update 5/21/2020:  Maine continues to be under a state of emergency due to the pandemic.  As of 5/19, Governor Mills made a change to allow campground openings for Maine residents much earlier than planned- May 22.  In spite of this last-minute change, we are not prepared to accept guests until June at the earliest.  We hope to resume accepting reservations for Maine residents sometime around the middle of June based solely on whether cases are increasing or decreasing.

The mandatory 14 day quarantine period for non-residents:

You must quarantine in Maine for 14 days without making use of any public facilities like grocery stores or restrooms BEFORE vacationing.  We have cancelled all non-resident reservations during the month of June to gauge where the virus is trending in our state as we emerge from lockdown.

What about my deposit if my reservation is cancelled?

2 options:

1. We would be more than happy to transfer your deposit to the same site and equivalent dates for 2021.  We hope you will strongly consider this option as we look forward to the day when this nightmare is behind us.

2. If you would like a refund, contact us and we will work to get your money back to you as soon as we can.  Like most small seasonal businesses, we are at our lowest ebb financially right before we open for the season thanks to the long winter with reduced income along with the improvements and preparations made to ensure a smooth and timely opening.  We will start processing refunds once we open for business and start rebuilding our funds.

We ask for your patience and understanding as we go through this wrenching period together.  On a profound level, we understand that ALL of us are, at the very least, suffering emotionally and financially through this period.  Please know we are doing our level best to ensure the survival of this unique and beloved campground that we have been stewards of for the last 37 years.  - the Craigheads
